About the Job

We are looking for a FinOps Analyst to provide accurate and data-based information on the company and its competitors. You will research and analyse financial information to help the company make well-informed decisions, prepare reports and monitor financial movements.

As our FinOps Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing financial reporting, forecasting and operational metrics tracking
  • Calculating or reconciling fees and other deductions charged to customers
  • Reconciling merchants’ and providers’ balances and ensuring the safeguarding of funds wherever required
  • Working closely with the Operations team for the movement and settlement of funds
  • Creating and maintaining pricing models and coordinating with the Sales team for any updates
  • Reporting on financial performance and preparing for regular leadership reviews
  • Analysing past results, performing variance analysis, identifying trends and making recommendations for improvements
  • Working with the Accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Identifying and assisting in process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools and Excel dashboards
  • Increasing productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools
  • Performing market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation

You will be a good fit if you:

  • Have a Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or a Membership in a Professional Accounting body, with strong analytical and data-gathering skills
  • Have 4-5 years of business finance or other relevant experience, preferably with a Financial Institution or within the Payments industry
  • Experience in managing FinOps for Merchants and segregated fund accounts
  • Are well-versed with Excel formulas and functions and are familiar with data query/data management tools (Access, SQL, Business Objects)
  • Have strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication skills
  • Are comfortable dealing with ambiguity and are able to work independently
  • Can interact with executive-level management
