You are a top-notch Data Analytics Engineer with deep expertise in Databricks, Azure, and Analytics, capable of solving complex technology issues and driving OnMed’s information management and systems/data integration capabilities. Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain data integration solutions using Databricks and Azure cloud solutions, including Azure Data Factory and Azure API Management.
  • Own the Databricks environment – across information management and integration capabilities.
  • Information Management: Collaborate with developers, engineers, and organizational leaders to design and develop the databricks environment optimization, governance, ongoing performance monitoring, and identify opportunities for process improvements based on data analytics.
  • Integration: This role supports the integration architecture of the organization in tandem with the design, development, optimization, and ongoing performance monitoring of interfaces and integration touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements, provide best practices and deliver efficient data integration solutions.
  • Develop and optimize necessary SQL queries to support data integration and transformation processes.
  • Implement and manage data pipelines, ensuring data quality, consistency, and reliability.
  • Own data analytics by creating reports for executive leadership and synthesizing data to communicate and/or present key insights. Analyze data to ensure data quality, consistency, reliability, and proactively identify any gaps or quality issues with data. 
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data integration workflows to ensure seamless operation.
  • Document data integration processes and provide technical support to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data integration, Databricks, and Azure technologies.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Proven and deep experience in data and integration management, having played a role as a Data Engineer in the past.
  • 2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices.
  • Ability to see the big picture and service as the integration architect in tandem with granular design and development – macro- and micro-level execution.
  • Deep knowledge of SQL and experience with complex query optimization.
  • Proficiency in Python.
  • Excellent understanding of Azure services and architecture.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL processes.
  • Experience working with Databricks or other cloud-based data warehouses.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
  • Data analysis & storytelling: ability to interpret data and provide business recommendations.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience as a Data Engineer with analytics background.
  • Technical Skills Required: Databricks, Python and SQL.
  • Technical Skills Nice-to-Have: Azure or AWS (experience solving big data problems), C# and PySpark.
  • Experience working with AI tools highly desirable.
  • Experience working with healthcare data or in the healthcare industry is a plus.

The base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000 commensurate with the candidate's experience.
