Odyssey is pioneering AI video you can both watch and interact with in real-time.

Odyssey was founded in late 2023 by Oliver Cameron (Cruise, Voyage) and Jeff Hawke (Wayve, Oxford AI PhD), two veterans of self-driving cars and AI. They’ve since recruited a world-class team of AI researchers from Waymo, Tesla, Meta, Cruise, Wayve, and Microsoft.

Odyssey has raised significant venture capital from GV, EQT Ventures, Air Street Capital, DCVC, Elad Gil, Garry Tan, Soleio, Jeff Dean, Kyle Vogt, Qasar Younis, Guillermo Rauch, Soumith Chintala, and researchers from OpenAI, DeepMind, Meta, and Midjourney. Ed Catmull, the founder of Pixar, serves on Odyssey’s board.

What you'll do

• You will develop state-of-the-art world models, generating dynamic, photorealistic worlds in real-time.

• You will conduct research into new algorithmic methods, discover how to measure new model capabilities, and work to improve performance in these capabilities.

• You will collaborate with Odyssey's product engineering as these models are shipped to enable new creative experiences. This provides key feedback to inform research directions.

Who you are

• You’re a staff-level or greater researcher & engineer, with demonstrated experience in ML topics related to world models. This could include world models, or broader generative ML in computer vision and graphics.

• You are passionate about R&D and pushing the state-of-the-art.

• You have the ability to bring your ideas from 0→1 with code and data.
