As the Senior Strategic Marketing Manager, you will be an essential part of our mission-driven team, dedicated to transforming the lives of those with untreated ENT conditions. Your role will involve contributing directly to our commitment to innovation and improved patient care.


PURPOSE OF JOB: 

The Senior Strategic Marketing Manager will act as a strategic compass for Aerin Medical, driving key initiatives that enable both near- and long-term business growth. This upstream-focused role will lead product development and portfolio expansion efforts for the VivAer and Console platform, working cross-functionally with R&D, clinical, regulatory, sales, and external healthcare professionals. The position also plays a critical analytical role in shaping market strategy through Market Research, forecasting, competitive analysis, and clinical evidence planning. This individual will report to the Director of Strategic Marketing.


MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the development and execution of portfolio expansion and product development initiatives for the VivAer and Console platforms, providing clear strategy, continuous analysis, and iterative recommendations to ensure successful outcomes. 
  • Define and refine user needs for new products and next-generation improvements based on voice-of-customer (VOC) input and market dynamics.
  • Drive initiatives related to new indication opportunities and future product versions, including strategic exploration of adjacent targets and clinical applications.
  • Develop strategic clinical roadmaps to support product development and market expansion efforts, including defining clinical endpoints, study needs, and potential investigator relationships.
  • Design and execute market research initiatives - including physician and patient research - to identify unmet needs, test product concepts, and assess current product performance across upstream and downstream segments.
  • Manage the product lifecycle strategy for assigned portfolio, including planning, phasing, and launch preparation.
  • Own and update strategic communications to the Portfolio Steering Committee (executive team), including updates on pipeline projects and key recommendations.
  • Build and maintain a deep understanding of competitive technologies, alternative therapies, and evolving customer needs within the ENT space.
  • Engage and collaborate with physicians and Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to gather feedback, drive innovation, and support customer advocacy; organize and lead VOC sessions at conferences and in-clinic visits.
  • Actively contributes to long-range planning efforts, supporting the development of strategic growth pathways and portfolio prioritization.

Requirements

  

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree Required. MBA or related advanced degree strongly preferred.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 7+ years of commercial experience in the healthcare or medical technology industry, with a minimum of 2 years in strategic marketing or upstream product development.
  • Experience with capital equipment and consumable-based product lines preferred.
  • Proven success contributing to top-line growth and executing product strategy required.
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills; ability to synthesize complex inputs into actionable insights required 
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication, including experience presenting to physicians and executive leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with a track record of effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with a high degree of ownership, urgency, and organization.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%, including conferences, national sales meetings, field visits, and conferences
