Cloud Architect

In the role of Cloud Architect at Octal Philippines Inc., you will leverage your expertise in cloud computing to design and manage scalable cloud solutions that meet the needs of our organization. You will be an integral part of various projects, ensuring the cloud infrastructure is secure, efficient, and aligned with best practices. Your guidance will be essential in transitioning systems and applications to the cloud, optimizing performance, and managing costs.

Qualifications:

•       Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.

•       Experience in cloud architecture, with a focus on AWS environments.

•       Deep understanding of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS, and VPC.

•       Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools, particularly Terraform and CloudFormation.

•       Expertise in cloud security best practices, including IAM, encryption, and network security.

•       Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or Go.

•       Experience with containerization technologies, especially Docker and Kubernetes.

•       Solid understanding of networking concepts and their implementation in cloud environments.

•       Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Preferred Skills:

•       AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional or equivalent certification.

•       Experience with multi-cloud architectures and migration strategies.

•       Knowledge of serverless architectures and microservices design patterns.

•       Expertise in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments.

•       Experience with cloud-native monitoring and logging solutions.

•       Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

•       Proven track record of delivering large-scale cloud projects in enterprise environments.

•       Familiarity with compliance standards relevant to cloud computing (e.g., HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR).

•       Experience with data analytics and big data technologies in cloud environments.

•       Understanding of machine learning and AI services o ered by cloud providers.

The Cloud Architect will be responsible for:

•       Designing and implementing scalable, highly available, and secure cloud architectures.

•       Developing cloud adoption strategies and migration plans.

•       Optimizing cloud resource utilization and costs.

•       Collaborating with development teams to implement cloud-native solutions.

•       Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

•       Staying current with emerging cloud technologies and trends.
