Jr. Revenue Accountant
Job Description
We are looking for Junior Accountant responsible for supporting the revenue accounting function. This role involves assisting in the preparation of financial reports, reconciling revenue accounts, and ensuring accurate recording of all revenue transactions. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for accounting.
Responsibilities:
• Revenue Recognition: Assist in the accurate recording and recognition of revenue in compliance with relevant accounting standards.
• Billing and Invoicing: Support the billing process, ensuring invoices are generated and sent to customers accurately and promptly.
• Financial Reporting: Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to revenue.
• Account Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of revenue accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Revenue & Commissions and Finance Team members to ensure alignment and accuracy in revenue reporting.
•Audit Support: Assist with external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required
• Process Improvement: Contribute to the development and enhancement of revenue accounting processes and controls.
• Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field is required. A master’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
• Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in revenue accounting or a closely related occupation.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of Sage Intacct, Excel, and Salesforce.
• Analytical Skills: Strong data analysis skills.
• Knowledge: Basic understanding of tax, audit, and GAAP applications and compliance requirements.
• Hours: Ability and desire to work remotely with flexibility to align with US business hours.
