Job Description

Established in 1992, the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) is the only full-fledged communication school in Singapore and is a world-class centre of excellence with an international faculty, state-of-the-art research laboratories, and global institutional affiliations.

To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are seeking for an experienced professional to join the Academic Team as an Assistant Manager. Reporting to the Senior Assistant Manager, the incumbent shall support the operations of the undergraduate programme, ensuring smooth academic and student administrative services.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate the delivery of student and academic services for the Undergraduate programme.

  • Oversees the planning and monitors student admission progress to ensure timeliness of the admission process.

  • Coordinate interviews and liaise with various stakeholders for the processing and monitoring of applications, admissions, and scholarships outcomes.

  • Provide support for student outreach and recruitment events and activities.

  • Provide administrative support for course registration, timetable scheduling, scholarship and travel grants, and financial processes.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders on programme management, including course proposals and curriculum updates.

  • Manage student lifecycle administration, such as leave of absence, withdrawals, maintain student records and academic misconduct matters.

  • Oversee examination processes, including mark processing, appeals, academic integrity, and graduation tasks.

  • Coordinate students’ local or overseas internship matters including briefings, appointment of internship supervisors, working with NTU Career & Attachment Office (CAO) to manage disputes between students and internship organisations.

  • Provide advisory to students on exchange, course matching and credit transfer issues.

  • Propose enhancements to streamline work processes and improve operational efficiency.

  • Collation of statistics and data required for management reporting.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, preferably with at least 5 years of experience in programme management. 

  • Prior experience working in institutions of higher learning is preferred.

  • Knowledge on academic matters, academic policies, project management and business / data analytics is an added advantage.

  • Strong administrative skills, analytic and problem-solving skills, meticulous with a keen eye for details.

  • Good interpersonal and people management skills.

  • A strong collaborator – ability to work well in within the team and with key stakeholders.

  • Positive attitude with customer-service orientation.

  • Excellent organisational, time management and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks in an efficient, effective, and timely manner.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, relevant IT applications / programmes.
