Position Summary:
The Assistant Branch Manager assists in supervising and coordinating all branch operations, in conformance with established bank policies and procedures.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Management of branch in the absence of the Branch Manager.
- Daily balancing/settlement of cash drawer.
- Assist in the settlement of ATM; coin machine and night depository.
- Assists in the bank’s daily opening/closing/settlement of branch.
- Conducts monthly audits as stated in S.O.P.’s of North Easton Savings Bank.
- Assists in the opening and cross selling of products/services offered by the Bank.
- Initiates and refers internal/external sales.
- Originate consumer and mortgage applications.
- Assists in the completion and monitoring of the weekly employee schedule.
- Assists in the performance and disciplinary reviews of branch personnel.
- Reviews and maintains pertinent reports specific to branch needs.
- Attends regularly scheduled meetings.
- Participates in Saturday rotations.
- Other duties assigned or required.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent banking experience.
- 2+ years of branch or banking experience (experience as a senior teller or senior relationship banker is ideal)
- NMLS certified.
- Strong communications, interpersonal and sales skills.
- Notary certification preferred.
Physical Demands:
This position is an office-based position in terms of physical demand. Employees are expected to be able to operate their fingers and hands to perform functions such as typing, writing, and filing. Employees must also be able to move throughout the office with ease while also being able to sit for extended periods of time. Employees must be able to see and hear in an office setting that does include much noise going on around one’s workspace. While this job is mainly clerical, there are instances in which employees must be able to transport up to 20 pounds.
