About the Role:
Job Summary
Directs a planned and continuous public relations and advertising program designed to positively influence public opinions toward Northeast Georgia Health System, Inc. and other corporate entities.
Minimum Job Qualifications
Licensure or other certifications:
Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in a communication related field.
Minimum Experience: Minimum seven (7) years management experience. Knowledge of Regional northeast Georgia market dynamics beneficial.

Essential Tasks and Responsibilities
Responsible for hiring and management of PR/Marketing staff.
Actively supports and achieves overall business objectives and vision of the organization through collaborative development/implementation with service line directors, senior leadership and physicians of promotional strategies for all NGHS services.
Work collaboratively with Service Line Leadership to review status of marketing plans, results as measured by market share and other data, and updates plans and strategies to help ensure goals are achieved.
Works with contract providers to conduct periodic consumer research that is used to develop targeted marketing campaigns.
Responsible for development and management of system-wide advertising budget in conjunction with Senior Management and Service Line Leadership (with exception of HR recruitment).
Responsible for oversight and protection of NGHS brand. (i.e. website, print materials & signage)
Serves as organization’s official media spokesperson. Serves as chief information officer in the event of an internal or external disaster
Provides counsel to senior leadership and board chair on potentially sensitive communication initiatives or actions that could be perceived to be in conflict with organization’s mission; develops and coordinates implementation of communication plans that support a culture of transparency and respect for internal and external audiences.
Oversees marketing strategies for all hospital-owned physician practices.
Oversees management of the organization’s website.
Provides support with program planning and coordination of NGMC Advisory Board meetings.
