As a Manager within the E-2 Operations, you will provide input for a high performing team and will be responsible for executing, monitoring, and reporting on the progress of program performance.

The qualified candidate will lead projects within cost and schedule requirements of the program. The position requires a solution-based philosophy and the ability to develop practical execution plans in a dynamic and complex environment. Candidates must demonstrate solving complex problems through systematic and objective evaluation of information resulting in effective communication, collaboration, and implementation of a strong operational program foundation with a diverse set of internal and external customers and suppliers.

Strong leadership characteristics are essential as this role drives strategies to meet or exceed cost, schedule, and performance objectives.

This position requires the ability to report status for project planning and execution tasks, inputs into recurring site reporting, and support E2 Operations. Collaboration with program and functional leaders to develop and nurture a highly competent and engaged team that delivers on commitments and embodies “best practices” culture.

A successful candidate in this role will be interested/energized by and able to:

  • Build relationships and effectively listen and communicate to influence, and ensure accountability across a network of stakeholders
  • Analyze and make recommendations around business challenges based on data
  • Engage with all employees up through executive leaders to understand requirements and expectations, and inspire team culture oriented toward safety, quality, and project success.
  • Attend and/or lead program meetings and provide status including presenting operations status to site leadership
  • Support the organizational operating rhythm through daily engagement with direct reports providing guidance, assistance and team building.
  • Oversee execution of projects and deliverables, engaging all relevant stakeholders to ensure success - establishing needed partnerships, developing program plans, and driving accountability for safety, quality, and performance.
  • Support program processes and procedures for customer satisfaction.
  • Measure and report project performance
  • Deliver presentations to customers, program leadership and other program stakeholders
  • Identify, allocate, and manage program resources, including workforce planning
  • Demonstrated experience in applying the following principles:
  • Business Acumen: The ability to apply knowledge, insights and understanding of business concepts, tools and processes to the benefit of program decisions, actions, and performance
  • Issue & Problem Resolution: The ability to identify and address program impacts through a systematic, proactive approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the program.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years, or 6 years additional experience supporting U.S. Government customers and/or project management in other industries
  • Must have considerable knowledge in operations and maintenance of E-2D avionics systems.
  • 5 years’ experience in a direct customer support role
  • Ability to maintain the final adjudicated government Secret Clearance, and any program access required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in defining, developing, and delivering technical training courses in avionics systems.
  • Experience in quality assurance leadership
  • Familiarity with quality management systems principles
  • Familiarity with workplace safety requirements and at sea deployments

Salary Range: $97,500.00 - $146,300.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
