Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive People Operations Contractor to support our HR operations in Ukraine. This is a 6-month contractor role designed to ensure proper execution and formalization of employee lifecycle processes and maintain compliance with local labor laws and company policies. The ideal candidate will work independently, support HR and payroll operations, coordinate induction and benefits programs, and act as a trusted advisor to employees on HR-related matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure correct formalization and documentation of HR processes related to the full employee lifecycle (hiring, transfers, changes in employment terms, terminations, etc.).
  • Maintain comprehensive and compliant HR record-keeping and personnel files.
  • Coordinate the onboarding and primary induction process for new hires.
  • Update and maintain employee data in the local payroll system (1C), ZOHO, and physical personnel files.
  • Manage timekeeping and timesheet processes; collaborate with Finance to ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
  • Provide employees with consultations on HR policies, procedures, and labor law matters.
  • Prepare and issue official references, employment letters, and other required documents upon employee request.
  • Provide mandatory and ad hoc HR reporting to local authorities.
  • Coordinate and administer the corporate medical insurance program.
  • Support other HR tasks and projects as assigned by the First line Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience as an HR Inspector or similar HR operations role, preferably in the IT or tech sector.
  • Proficient in 1C (various versions) and confident using corporate HR systems (ZOHO). Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Solid understanding and hands-on experience applying Ukrainian labour legislation.
  • Ukrainian – Native/Fluent;
  • English – Intermediate or above (capable of working with international HR teams and documentation).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Discrete and ethical with sensitive HR information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
