What You’ll Do:     

  • Implement high-scale Big Data solutions and contribute to our Demand Side Platform (DSP) infrastructure and architecture.
  • End-to-end feature development and ownership, from design to production.
  • Take part in building and designing the next-generation data infrastructure of the company.
  • Research innovative technologies for building highly scalable data applications.
  • Working with various stakeholders: Product, Engineering, Data providers, etc.     

Job requirement:   

  • 4+ years of overall engineering experience with 4+ years of data engineering & Java experience 
  • Python and Scala (advantage)
  • Experience with Pipelines/ETLs/Hadoop/Spark/Kafka/Streaming systems/DBMS
  • Experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases – optimally Vertica/Click house 
  • Build and maintain performance and scalable high-volume applications. 
  • Strong system architecture knowledge, especially in distributed systems
  • Working knowledge of Linux, Docker, Container Orchestration 
  • Proficient with Git version control system 
  • Collaboration with developers, product managers, business operations and customers 
  • BS (or higher) in Computer Science or related degree 
  • Work in an Agile development process 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Team player  

Extra credit  

  • Experience with Hive, MongoDB, RDS, Redis, MySQL, Oracle, Athena, Trino
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience in AI/Machine Learning  
  • Basic understanding of online advertising technologies
  • Running Linux systems in production 
  • System Monitoring Systems: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Kibana, Influx DB etc. 
  • AWS Service Experience (e.g., EC2, ECS, Kinesis, etc.)  
  • Infrastructure and architecture experience with DSP 

In support of pay transparency and equity, the minimum and maximum full-time annual base salary for this role in New York is $150,000 - $210,000 at the time of posting. While this is our reasonable expectation this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
