FP&A Lead
Job Description
About NexHealth
NexHealth’s mission is to accelerate innovation in healthcare. Fixing healthcare is the challenge of our generation. This industry is stuck in the 1990s while affordability and accessibility are spiraling out of control. We currently spend ~20% of GDP on healthcare, while the 25% of the world's data is stuck on legacy and antiquated health systems. NexHealth’s goal is to create an open and modern ecosystem to accelerate innovation in the space. We make it easier for everybody to build in healthcare, and ultimately empower ordinary people with access to more modern, efficient and affordable healthcare solutions.

Finance at NexHealth
Finance at NexHealth operates as an internal strategy team—lean, high-leverage, and embedded across the business. We build the systems, models, and insights that power our next phase of growth. Whether it’s advising the C-Suite on resource allocation or designing GTM capacity plans, our work shapes every major strategic decision. The FP&A Lead will report directly to the Head of Strategic Finance and partner closely with the CFO and executive team.
What You’ll Do:
- Data Analytics - Define which metrics matter, implement systems to track them, and build analytics that uncover actionable insights. You’ll bring clarity to complexity and help operators move with precision.
- Embedded FP&A - Extend finance’s reach across GTM, Product, and Ops to ensure every major initiative—whether it’s a new integration, feature launch, or pricing change—has a financial lens from day one.
- Build the FP&A Engine - Lay the foundation for a company-wide financial operating system. You'll design and implement a consistent monthly rhythm that aligns budget owners around forecasting, variance analysis, and performance reviews. This isn’t just about process—it’s about building the muscle for financial accountability, empowering teams to make smarter decisions, and creating the rigor we need to scale with confidence.
What You’ll Bring:
- 6–8 years of experience in finance, strategic planning, or analytics. Backgrounds in SaaS, investment banking, or management consulting are highly valued.
- Strong academic foundation with a degree in Finance, Economics, or a quantitative field such as Math, Computer Science, or Physics.
- Advanced Excel skills are a must; experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, SQL, and Sigma is a plus—especially if you’ve used them to build scalable, self-serve reporting.
- Founder mindset—you’re proactive, resourceful, and don’t wait for permission. You anticipate problems, get to the root of issues, and own outcomes from insight to execution.
- Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple stakeholders, and thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Clear, concise communicator—able to turn complex data into compelling narratives for executives and operators alike.
NexHealth Values
- Solve the customer’s problems, not yours
When making decisions, think from the perspective of the customer. It’s easy to make decisions that make our lives simpler, but not the customers. - Do the things others are not willing to do
As a Nexer, always go after the hardest problems. Pursue things at the highest quality. Move at the fastest pace. - Take ownership
Act like a founder. Own your roles, destinies, mistakes, behavior, and our mission. The buck stops with each of us - no blaming or excuses. - Say what’s on your mind, with positive intent
Be direct, proactive, transparent, and frequent in your communication. - Default trust
As a Nexer, you do not have to earn trust, trust is given to you by default. If we by default trust each other, our speed of communication, feedback, information sharing, and overall improvements will be a lot faster. - Think in first principles
We first identify the problem and then break it down to its fundamentals before diving into solutions. We constantly ask “why” to validate our assumptions.

- Competitive salary plus equity
- Commuter benefits
- 401K
- Full Medical, Dental and Vision
- Unlimited PTO
