Position Summary:

This position supports the engineering and production purchasing requirements of the company. Selects suppliers, negotiates purchase order pricing, ensures purchased product and materials meet specifications, and handles other critical purchasing functions. 


Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs all the duties of a Purchasing Coordinator.
  • Researches and evaluates suppliers based on price, quality, service support, availability, reliability, production, and distribution capabilities.
  • Assists engineering to support new product development with material purchasing and sourcing.
  • Plans all procurement activities to ensure smooth production workflow.
  • Executes core duties and responsibilities of the role in accordance with the established skills competencies.
  • All other duties, as assigned.


Requirements

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or related field of study, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • 3-5 years of purchasing experience is required. Experience in the medical device manufacturing industry is preferred.
  • Proficient in understanding and interpretation of written and verbal instructions, direction, and technical information.
  • Intermediate computer competency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) and business specific software (e.g. ERP, eQMS, CAD).

Reporting to this position: No direct reports.
