Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

Campaign Management & Optimization

  • Partner with editorial teams to routinely program and deploy daily email/SMS campaigns optimized for opens, clicks, conversions, and revenue
  • Assist with marketing operations including copywriting, template programming, creative development, A/B testing, QA, and deployment as needed

Reporting & Analytics

  • Track and analyze core KPIs including list growth, churn, and engagement, as well as earnings and revenue
  • Design and execute testing plans aligned with strategic goals and revenue impact

Lifecycle & Personalization Strategy

  • Own the strategy and execution of commerce lifecycle marketing journeys (onboarding, engagement, retention, and re-engagement)
  • Develop and optimize automated campaigns and dynamic content across email and SMS
  • Implement and refine multi-channel customer touchpoints using MarTech tools to deliver timely, relevant experiences

Audience Growth & Integrations

  • Drive newsletter/SMS growth by coordinating with Audience Development managers on acquisition tactics (e.g., overlays, interstitials, reg walls)
  • Maintain list hygiene, email deliverability and user lifecycle health
  • Manage ESP/SMS platform integrations (e.g., Sailthru, Airship) and support cross-channel strategies including push and in-app ● Serve as a key stakeholder in MarTech stack optimization

Qualifications

  • 2 years minimum in email/SMS marketing or growth-focused roles
  • Hands-on experience with ESPs (e.g., Sailthru, Mailchimp, Campaign Monitor) and SMS tools (e.g., Klaviyo, Airship, Twilio)
  • Proficient with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, DOMO)
  • Strong understanding of affiliate marketing and ecommerce KPIs
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills
  • Proficiency in wireframing (e.g., FigJam) and presentation tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Google Slides)
  • Creative mindset with an eye for design and content strategy
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with editorial, design, and product teams
  • Passionate about experimentation, optimization, and emerging tech (especially AI and LLM)
