NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution is responsible for the licensing and distribution of NBCUniversal product to all forms of television and streaming platforms in the U.S., Canada and in over 200 territories internationally. NBCUniversal’s content portfolio includes a vast and diverse library of more than 6,500 feature films and 170,000 television episodes, including current and classic titles, non-scripted programming, kids, sports, news, long-form and short-form programming from Universal Pictures, Focus Features, Universal Television, UCP, Universal International Studios, Sky Studios, Universal Television Alternative Studio, NBC Late Night properties, DreamWorks Animation, Telemundo, Universal Pictures Content Group, as well as locally produced content from around the world, and more. Global TV Distribution is a division of Comcast NBCUniversal.

Job Description:

The U.S. Television Distribution team is responsible for the licensing of all NBCUniversal’s TV and film content to all digital and linear media across SVOD, AVOD, Pay TV, Basic Cable, Free TV and FAST. 

The EA to the EVP, U.S. Sales & Distribution is responsible for supporting all day-to-day activity undertaken by the EVP and his team.  This will include administrative duties such as calendar management, travel arrangements, expense reports.  The role will also include the preparation of presentations, significant work on Excel, tracking of key departmental initiatives and any other work required by the EVP.  There will also be considerable direct liaison with clients and senior stakeholders as required.  A successful candidate will also need a passion for content and will be required to learn NBCU film & series catalogues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support to all aspects of EVP role and his team
  • Managing schedules and coordinating internal and external meetings, conference calls and other activities as required
  • Liaise directly with external clients and internal senior stakeholders to ensure key deliverables are achieved
  • Coordinate and lead special projects across the TVD team as required
  • Event planning: organizing and arranging meetings, dinners, client events, and New York office events independently and in collaboration with marketing
  • Act as Floor Manager to the NY Sales office including managing supplies and liaising with operations for facilities, IT, etc.
  • Play a key role in initiating, creating and updating sales reports and tracking material for leadership across various internal stakeholders
  • Attend internal and external meetings to take accurate and thorough notes
  • Draft and distribute clear, concise, and professional follow-up communications, including summaries, task assignments, reminders, and action items
  • First point of contact on all external matters including call screening, processing mail/post, meeting requests and responding where appropriate
  • Making travel arrangements and collecting travel documentation and receipts
  • Preparing and processing expense reports, and ensuring timely settlement of Corporate Credit Cards
  • Word-processing documents, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel spreadsheets
  • Other ad-hoc administrative support e.g. printing, binding materials and photocopying

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • 3+ years in an assistant role supporting an executive

Desired Characteristics:

  • A passion for TV & Film content is essential
  • Demonstrable capability in supporting senior executives within a fast-moving organization
  • Professional and confident style in dealing with all levels of staff (including senior management) and 3rd parties
  • Excellent communication skills including strong writing and effective telephone manner
  • Resilient and Resourceful - must be able to work effectively with the minimum of supervision
  • Ability to research and source ad-hoc information independently
  • Solid sense of initiative with the ability to multitask, and anticipate executive needs
  • Excellent attention to detail, and the ability to deliver as promised
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills (Excel & PowerPoint in particular)
  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information in a discrete manner

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
