Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director to lead the Technical Program Management (TPM) of our S/4 transformation. This leader will also own the development and execution of KPI frameworks, oversee communications across multiple stakeholder groups, and ensure efficient delivery and support of enterprise technology initiatives—particularly focused on SAP and related platforms. The successful candidate will perform work that is highly complex, varied in nature, and span multiple functional/technical areas. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Technical lead and management of S/4 program, including planning, execution, and delivery
  • Act as a liaison between technical teams, executive leadership, and business stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment across all workstreams  
  • Oversee the program portfolio, with a focus on driving consistency, accountability, and measurable outcomes  
  • Provide thought leadership and hands-on TPM guidance for the ongoing SAP S/4HANA transformation program
  • Champion best practices in portfolio management, risk mitigation, and change control  
  • Good team player who can collaborate with the Business and IT teams to bridge any gaps from requirement understanding, identifying risks and recommend mitigation strategies that impact the overall quality of the implementation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define, maintain and report against KPIs and performance metrics for core corporate applications  
  • Establish a strong network of collaboration with cross-functional peers, vendors, and program management to effectively manage day-to-day support of ongoing operations
  • Utilize tools such as Jira, ServiceNow, and Power BI for operational/project tracking, reporting, and performance analytics  
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to IT operations and governance
  • Drive continuous improvement and strategic alignment across the application landscape  
  • Additional assignments as required

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting or Business from an accredited institution or equivalent
  • 10+ years of related professional or technical experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing people & SAP projects, including at least one full lifecycle SAP S/4HANA transformation  
  • 10 + years of overall experience in IT program or portfolio management roles  
  • Strong working knowledge of Jira, ServiceNow, and Power BI  
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, business users, and senior executives  
  • Proven track record of developing and managing KPI-driven performance frameworks  
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills  
  • Basic Knowledge of SAP integrations.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio).
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal/presentation and written communication skills
  • Possess interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of Business and IT
  • Self-starter to work on multiple projects simultaneously with a keen desire to learn and expand depth of knowledge
  • Exhibit collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Adherence to IT project methodologies, and change control processes
  • Willingness to work off business hours and weekends as needed in a demanding environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • PMP, PgMP, or other relevant certifications  
  • Experience in a global or matrixed enterprise environment  
  • Background in finance, HR, or supply chain applications is a plus  

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work overtime when required
  • Must be willing to travel for work related business if necessary

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the Englewood Cliffs, NJ or Rockefeller Center, NY office a minimum of three days per week. 

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $150,000 -$200,000 (bonus and LTI eligible).
