Comcast NBCUniversal has announced its intent to create a new publicly traded company ('Versant') comprised of most of NBCUniversal's cable television networks, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel along with complementary digital assets Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow, GolfPass, and SportsEngine. The well-capitalized company will have significant scale as a pure-play set of assets anchored by leading news, sports and entertainment content. The spin-off is expected to be completed during 2025.
Job Description
In the Analyst role, you will support the Director on the Advanced Data Operations team and incorporate digital and convergent data tactics and strategies to ensure operational efficiency of audience-targeted ad products.
- Work with data vendors and teams to ensure audience targets are delivered and available for the execution of targeted campaigns across all platforms and assist with optimization and testing efforts for their respective platforms
- Provide project management and tracking support to the overall data team to make audience-targeted campaign operations, new data-targeted product implementation, and troubleshooting processes more efficient.
- Partner with the One Platform Ad Sales group to provide data operations guidance and assist with troubleshooting.
- Leverage coding and programming skills to analyze various datasets in order to build strategic audiences.
- Build and automate data cleaning and reporting processes that optimize operational efficiency
- Keep abreast of the rapidly-evolving technologies and trends in the TV and digital realms and build a thorough understanding of the media and advertising ecosystem and its key players.
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- BA/BS degree, preferably in a quantitative field of study, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in media, digital advertising, technology, or financial services.
- Familiarity with programming languages including SQL, Python, Scala, Databricks, Spark and/or cleanroom environments.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with leveraging spreadsheets and data visualization tools such as PowerBI or Tableau for reporting and insights,
- Familiarity with:
- DMPs/CDPs and FreeWheel MRM.
- Linear and/or Digital operations and working with 3rd party vendors.
- Traditional TV measurement (Nielsen), digital media math. Current privacy regulations and practices within the audience data industry.
Desired Characteristics:
- Experience with programming languages including SQL, Python, Scala, Databricks, Spark and/or cleanroom environments
- Ability to design and document operational workflows using tools such as Microsoft Vizio, Lucid Chart, or Draw.io
- Understand how to apply statistics to identify and optimize operational workflows
- Digital campaign management, analytics and research, and ad ops experience, or TV and addressable advertising experience.
- Highly adaptable with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Highly self-motivated and entrepreneurial spirit; intellectually curious individual who proactively seeks out time-saving solutions & tools.
- Familiarity with both online and offline data sources and available linkages.

Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
