Reports to: Director of Training & Engagement

Office Location: 224 W Hill St, Suite 410, Chicago IL; required in-office minimum of 3 days per week (hybrid work policy subject to change)

Who We Are Looking For:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Coordinator to join our Training & Engagement team. Reporting to the Director of Training & Engagement, the Project Coordinator will be responsible for supporting our Training & Engagement teams in planning, executing, and monitoring projects from initiation through completion. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

 

Community Engagement and Healthcare Engagement

· Work with NAMI Chicago’s Engagement teams to track relationships, events, and activities in place to support mental health awareness and increase help seeking to NAMI Chicago’s Helpline and peer support groups.

· Oversee development and implementation of the client relations management software Bloomerang for use by the Training & Engagement team.

· With support from NAMI Chicago’s Instructional Designer, oversee content development and updates for all external training materials.

· Coordinate logistical needs for events and support groups led by Engagement.

· Support coordination of paid storytellers to support trainings, panels, events and advocacy opportunities.


Workplace Wellness

· Support NAMI Chicago’s role in Chicago Police Department Critical Incident Team (CIT) training by managing the CIT schedule and identifying/confirming trainers for CIT courses.

o Oversee the development, training, and evaluation of role players and storytellers for CIT training sessions.

o Process invoices and ensure payment to CIT role players and storytellers.

· Support NAMI Chicago’s wellness and training facilitators by coordinating train-the-trainer sessions, ensuring skills assessments are up to date, and assigning facilitators to training opportunities as directed.

· In partnership with the Director of Training & Engagement, act as the liaison to NAMI Chicago’s finance department to process all invoices for workplace wellness training and services.

· Project Management Principles: Understanding of project management methodologies, processes, and tools.

· Communication: Knowledge of effective communication techniques for collaborating with team members and stakeholders.

· Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

· Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines.

· Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address issues and challenges that arise during projects.

· Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and quality in project deliverables.

· Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to achieve project goals.

· Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing project requirements and circumstances.


Qualifications & Requirements:

· Education: Bachelor's Degree in any field

· Minimum two years of administrative or project coordination experience

· Experience in community engagement or client relations is preferred

· Computer Skills: Proficiency Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word. Proficiency in Internet Explorer, Outlook/Exchange; Windows operating systems; and other software routinely used by NAMI Chicago

Base Rate: $26/hour
