Job Description

What you’ll do

As the Automotive Technology & Strategy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of automotive technical support and training. You will lead a specialised team responsible for technical research, training, and operational improvements, ensuring our service capabilities and deliver exceptional value to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Lead and coach a small team of four, manage workloads, prioritise tasks, and ensure best practices are applied nationwide.
  • Develop and implement strategic automotive research, secure endorsements, negotiate access to OEM vehicles.
  • Maintain and update the NTSU database to ensure efficient operations and data alignment.
  • Manage and develop annual budgeting, and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with OEMs, Car Clubs, and external partners, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and enhancing business performance.
  • Champion WH&S and ESG principles, drive workplace safety improvements.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven leadership experience in coaching and managing a team.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategy development, endorsement, and implementation.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting to senior management.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Resilient, pragmatic, and skilled at driving transformational change.
  • Exceptional organisational skills to manage competing priorities.
  • Automotive trades background and/or Engineering qualification.

Desirable:

  • Experience in the automotive industry and/or Car Clubs.
  • Expertise in learning and organisational development.
  • Advanced project and change management capabilities.
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI or Tableau.
