THE JOB:
The Director of Hospitality Development leads continuous improvement initiatives and provides project management support to execute strategic objectives developed by the Hospitality Center of Excellence. This role drives top-line growth and optimizes profitability by enhancing operational efficiency, managing labor and expenses, and implementing best practices across hospitality departments. The Director ensures consistent adoption and sustainment of tools, systems, and processes across segments, properties, and the enterprise.
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Manage daily workflows and timelines for both international and domestic hospitality development projects.
Track capital expenditures and support the development of long-range planning and forecasting documents.
Contribute to strategic planning and the creation of property master plans.
Develop internal scope decks, design briefs, and pitch decks for external partners.
Collaborate with cross-functional property teams to ensure design and development align with operational and guest experience needs.
Support programming and conceptual development efforts for new and existing properties.
Serve as a hospitality-focused operations subject matter expert for pre-opening efforts.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with external partners, designers, and internal stakeholders.
Oversee key project management components including scope of work, timelines, budgets, design integration, and capital spend.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree or have equivalent experience in hospitality, with at least 4+ years of proven leadership in managing and supervising employees.
They will demonstrate extensive knowledge and hands-on experience across various aspects of hospitality operations, particularly in restaurant or hotel environments.
This individual will bring a strong track record of successfully contributing to or leading strategic initiatives and projects, with solid project management skills.
The candidate should be highly collaborative, capable of working cross-functionally to align development efforts with operational goals.
Their skill set will span multiple areas of hospitality—including guest experience, design integration, and pre-opening planning.
Prior experience working with international brands and on global projects is essential, demonstrating their ability to navigate diverse cultural and operational contexts effectively.
