Commercial HVAC & Plumbing Sales Representative
Job Description
M3 Service is seeking a Commercial HVAC & Plumbing Service Sales Representative to drive growth throughout the Sacramento and Central Valley Regions of California. The Commercial HVAC & Plumbing Service Sales Representative will work in coordination with our sales, operations and special projects teams to proactively build relationships with customers and fuel the expansion of our mechanical, electrical and plumbing departments. The successful candidate for this role will self-perform, or assist in, the development, estimation and sale of maintenance and on-demand service agreements. He or she will also assist in cultivating opportunities for future service/special projects work by providing excellent customer service, networking with industry professionals and promoting the M3 Service brand at select industry events.
Responsibilities:
- Meet, or exceed, personal sales metrics
- Source new high-value commercial HVAC and plumbing maintenance clients through online prospecting, cold calling, site visits and networking with industry professionals and key associations.
- Drive consistent lead generation and growth through effectively managing time and sales activities
- Guide a high volume of prospects and opportunities through the sales process from lead generation through contract signing in coordination with operations personnel
- Successfully estimate, develop and close maintenance and on-demand service agreements for prospective HVAC and plumbing clients.
- Collaborate with sales, business development and marketing teams to implement a successful business development strategy and develop/maintain a customer pipeline
- Utilize CRM tools to monitor and oversee sales activities as well as customer interactions.
- Onboard all new customers and perform job handoff meetings with operations teams
- Convert construction/components projects from M3 MEP and M3C into maintenance contracts for M3 Service
- Hand off special project opportunities such as HVAC retrofits, unit replacements, system upgrades and electrical projects to M3 Service estimating teams
- Deliver an exceptional experience to customers
- Promote the M3 Service brand
- Other related duties as required and assigned
Qualifications:
- Practical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing systems.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial HVAC service sales is ideal, though not required.
- A desire to provide superior customer service and a hunger for success
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Highly organized with excellent time management ability
- Must possess a valid and clean driving record
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft applications
- Ability to develop and present proposals to potential customers, negotiate contracts and close deals
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must be a self-starter

Salary Band: $75,000/year - $120,000/year DOE plus commission
