Job Description

Responsibilities  

  • Contribute to and execute global learning programs and initiatives (e.g. leadership development, professional skills, enterprise initiatives, Fuel Up Fridays and learning hours etc.) to ensure learner and business impact; and work cross-functionally to ensure business alignment. 

  • Analyze internal and external business challenges and trends, recommending innovative learning solutions to improve processes and services. 

  • Design and manage programs / projects aligned to the professional skills strategies, addressing current and future capability needs. 

  • Evaluate and identify learning and development needs by using data and stakeholder feedback  

  • Facilitate core curriculum learning programs that include professional development skills as well as management development and leader programs  

  • Driving adoption and engagement of our internal learning systems and platforms –Compass, Pursuit & LinkedIn Learning 

  • Establish and maintain global learning standards that ensure consistency and quality across all initiatives. Demonstrate core values, thought leadership, and content expertise to influence and set benchmarks for best practices with segment leaders to drive the importance of learning and its impact on business success  

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to curate and design customized learning experiences to close skill gaps identified by functional teams  

  • Partner with segment and functional leaders in Japan to identify and develop tailored learning solutions that address specific segment needs and align with overarching strategic business objectives. 

  • Develop and execute localized programs in Japan, ensuring they meet targeted outcomes and contribute to the organization’s strategic objectives. 

  • Consult with key stakeholders to ensure best practices and global content/programs are leveraged across the global community. 

  • Stay informed of cultural shifts and emerging technologies to ensure our learning experiences are best-in-class and contribute to enhanced customer experience through improved employee performance. 
     

We are looking for someone with  

  • Fluent in Japanese and English and experience in a fast-paced business environment 

  • Strong project management and organizational skills while working with multiple priorities  

  • Ability to work well within a team as well as independently  

  • Develops and maintains strong partnerships with colleagues and other COEs and HR areas to ensure the design of aligned scalable and integrated learning solutions.  

  • Global experience; sensitivity to culturally diverse learning styles  

  • Working knowledge of the end-to-end learning process, i.e., learning needs assessment, program design, and delivery, and learning evaluation and assessment.  

  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation & communication skills to communicate effectively at all levels  

  • Experience with various learning and development technologies and modalities, including learning management systems and learner experience platforms. 

  • Strong facilitation skills both in-person and virtual 

  • Experience defining and tracking quantified success metrics  

  • At least 7 years of progressive experience in learning and education  

  • Experience in the Financial Services industry preferred
