Macmillan is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused [Contract] Author Care Royalties Coordinator. This crucial role will involve managing a high volume of email correspondence, providing clear and accurate information regarding royalty statements, payments, and related processes. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a strong understanding of financial details, and the ability to maintain positive relationships with our valued authors and agents.

Responsibilities:

 Monitor and respond to queries related to payments and financial processes

 Investigate and resolve discrepancies or questions related to royalty payments and

statements

 Collaborate with internal departments such as Finance, Contracts, Editorial, etc. to

gather necessary information

 Guide authors and agents through the royalty payment process and timelines

 Maintain organized records of all email correspondence and resolutions

 Support in establishing and documenting workflow and operational improvements,

including the implementation of a new ticketing system

 Assist in the preparation and distribution of royalty statements as needed

 Contribute to the development and maintenance of FAQs and other resources for

authors and agents regarding royalties

 Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

 Established written and verbal communication skills

 Proven ability to manage a high volume of email with excellent organizational skills and

a proactive approach

 Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and find

effective solutions while remaining patient and understanding

 Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

environment

 Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and

manage multiple tasks effectively

 Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with financial systems is a plus

 Familiarity with publishing industry practices and terminology is desirable

This contract role will have an hourly rate of $25-30/hour and be onboarded/paid through Noor Staffing.
