Job Description
This role will be based in our New York City, Chicago, Sunnyvale, or San Francisco offices.

The work location of this role is hybrid, meaning it will be performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days, as determined by the business needs of the team.
The Deal Desk team are the strategic advisors to LinkedIn’s Field Sales team, managing the Order to Cash (OTC) and facilitating the complex deal structures and requests that our customers demand. We drive scale within the Sales organization, allowing Sales to focus on selling, while we create efficiencies, increase profitability, and enforce stronger controls. The Lead Deal Desk Strategist will understand the ins and outs of our policies, processes, and systems. They will advise, coach, and train Sales teams on a day-to-day basis to efficiently work within Sales processes and policies. They help drive LinkedIn’s growth and success by partnering with LinkedIn Sales teams and other cross-functional teams (XFT). They have a clear and thorough understanding of the end-to-end LinkedIn ecosystem; you will be a strong leader and a prolific relationship builder.
Responsibilities:
- Project manages strategic deals and agreements in LinkedIn’s LinkedIn Talent Solutions, while ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the Sales team by delivering data-driven, strategic pricing options and customized deal-structuring solutions that maximize revenue growth and reduce deal churn.
- Build and nurture relationships with Sales teams, senior corporate stakeholders, internal cross-functional teams, and clients.
- Generate and analyse reports that provide insights into improved sales strategies and growth opportunities.
- Provide strategic vision, coaching, and direction in developing and leading an operations-focused team of Deal Strategists alongside the deal desk managers and regional manager.
- Train, mentor and educate other members of the Deal Desk Global team to enable them to provide excellent support to our customers.
- Lead and support improved team performance by conducting training sessions.
- Identify and execute process improvement opportunities that contribute to the team objective of creating scalable sales operations.
- Ensure team KPIs are consistently met while continuously identifying and implementing improvements through innovative system enhancements, streamlined processes, and optimized vendor utilization.
- Ensure our Global Deal Desk teams and Sales partners receive communication and education on any upcoming system changes and drive adoption and collection.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and OTC teams, familiarize yourself with their processes and policies, serving as a POC for Deal Desk for questions or concerns, minimizing the need for escalation.
- Take ownership and program manage issue resolution across all OTC teams, performing initial triage of issue identified by Sales and managing issue until it is fully resolved.
- Potential to engage directly with customers through both written and verbal communications, helping to resolve OTC issues directly.
- Manage escalations of all OTC issues from Sales and customers.
- Demonstrate the ability to go “above and beyond” in the support of our customers
- Ability to travel to regional offices, enabling face-to-face collaboration with Deal Desk team members, Sales, and Cross Functional leaders to drive strategic initiatives and enhance communication.
- Willingness to work during July and December holidays if needed, ensuring uninterrupted business support during critical periods and addressing urgent operational needs.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years' experience in Deal Desk/Deal Management/Pricing/Sales Operations/Support/Consulting or any client facing role
- Experience processing a high volume of transactions
- 2+ years' experience with Google and Microsoft Office products

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic and collaborative environment

- Experience leading initiatives or teams
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, or Oracle is a plus

LinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The pay range for this role is $82,000 to $126,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications, and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.
