Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Payroll & Benefit Specialist to join our team for up to 10 hours per week. This role will primarily focus on supporting payroll and HR operations, including setting up state tax registrations, auditing payroll records in a new payroll system, verifying benefit records, and handling various ad hoc HR data quality tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes, benefit compliance, and an eye for detail to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

  • Audit payroll records in new payroll system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Set up and/or audit state tax registrations and Unemployment Registration across multiple states and entities.
  • Review and verify employee benefit records.
  • Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues related to payroll and benefits data.
  • Perform ad hoc HR, payroll, benefits tasks as needed.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in payroll and benefit administration.
  • Strong knowledge of state tax regulations and payroll systems – ADP WorkforceNow and Deel preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
