The anticipated salary for this position starts at $82,500. The final pay will be determined based on several factors, including qualifications, experience, education, and years within the job or industry, with a strong emphasis on maintaining internal equity.

What we are looking for:
As a Salesforce Developer, you’ll play a vital role in?KU Endowment’s overall IS team. We are a data mission critical. We are looking for an individual that can help us continually improve and enhance our Salesforce platform, guided by our DevOps Salesforce team. This position will be a part of our information systems DevOps team to research, recommend, implement and support multiple software products. The role will be key in providing highly available services to our staff. The role will be a collaborative solutions engineer who can work with teammates and stakeholders at all levels of the organization to optimize our use of data towards the mission of KU Endowment.

What’s a typical day look like?
- Collaborating with the Salesforce Administrator to validate business requirements and any considerations (security, scalability, limits)
- Make form layout changes
- Gather stakeholder/business requirements and assist with refining requests into workable issues.
- Develop Apex (classes and triggers), Lightning Components, and Visualforce to extend Salesforce to support business requirements,
- Assist with each release cycle to implement and deploy new/updates to existing applications and code.
- Working with integrated applications such as Formstack, Marketing Cloud
- Testing – Unit and systems level. Debugging
- Following Salesforce best practices and data quality.
- Contributing to technical documentation.
- Supporting the Lead Salesforce Administrator.
Requirements
What’s required to be considered:
- Bachelor’s Degree OR two years’ experience working on a DevOps product team.
- Salesforce product knowledge and at least 6 months of Salesforce development experience
- 6 months’ experience in Salesforce/Marketing Cloud implementation and operations
- DevOps accreditation or a Salesforce DevOps certification from third-party vendors, such as Gearset and Copado
- Working in a DevOps team
- Certified Salesforce Administrator
- Working knowledge of non-profit fundraising
- Experience in PaaS (Products as a Service)
- Creative problem solving
What separates the best from the rest?
- Certified Salesforce Platform Developer – highly desirable
Physical Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license.
- Must have access to reliable transportation to travel between multiple locations for training, donor meetings, networking, events and/or work-related activities.
- Must be able to respond quickly and effectively to directions and safety hazards.
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office productivity machinery such as computers, keyboards and a mouse, laptops, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
- This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability to move files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
- The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
- The person in this position frequently communicates with colleagues. Must be able to communicate with others effectively.
- Physical effort/lifting, such as sedentary- up to 10 pounds
