Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Embedded Hardware Engineer with advanced technical expertise in embedded electronics to design, develop, and optimize cutting-edge embedded systems. This role demands deep knowledge of circuit design, PCB development, and integration with embedded software, along with strong hands-on experience in debugging and hardware validation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop robust embedded hardware systems, including analog/digital circuitry, microcontrollers, power management, and communication interfaces.
- Develop and review schematics and multilayer PCB layouts using tools like Fusion 360,Altium Designer, OrCAD, or KiCad.
- Lead board bring-up, hardware validation, and debugging at the component and system level.
- Perform detailed electrical simulations, signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal analysis.
- Interface with firmware/software teams to ensure seamless hardware-software integration.
- Evaluate and select electronic components for performance, cost, and long-term availability.
- Conduct EMC/EMI testing and ensure designs meet industry certifications and compliance (e.g., CE, FCC, UL, ISO).
- Support production engineering in transitioning prototypes to mass production with reliable DFM/DFT practices.
- Maintain technical documentation such as design specifications, BOMs, test plans, and reports.
The role is based in our office in Pune – but it goes without saying that the remote & hybrid working is a part of our modern ways of working.
To achieve these goals,
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in electronic engineering or related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in embedded hardware design and development.
- Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design, power electronics, and embedded microcontrollers/processors.
- Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
- Deep knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, Ethernet).
- Familiarity with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, logic analyzers).
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware issues.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Experience with high-speed signal design and analysis.
- Background in safety-critical or regulated industries.
- Familiarity with reliability testing (HALT, HASS), and environmental compliance standards (RoHS, REACH).
Qualifications
Bachelor's or master’s degree in Electronic Engineering or related field.
