Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Team at KIPP Texas attracts, recruits, and selects a top, diverse workforce committed to creating joyful and academically excellent schools to meet the organization’s current and future staffing needs. KIPP Texas is seeking a Manager, Talent Acquisition Projects to support key strategic and operational initiatives related to candidate attraction, recruitment outreach, and selection implementation. This individual will lead full cycle project management to ensure that KIPP Texas is positioned as an employer of choice and can attract, cultivate, and select exceptional teachers, school leaders, and other school district staff who are deeply committed to our mission. This multifaceted position requires strong project management skills, strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.
The Manager, Talent Acquisition Projects is responsible for delivering on key metrics in alignment with team, department and organizational level goals:
93% staffed for all schools by the first day of school
92% hired (for known vacancies) by the first day of leader onboarding
Positive net promoter for candidate, hiring manager, and new hire experience
90% retention of new hires

Key Responsibilities
Lead Talent Acquisition Projects (25%)
Lead the full project management cycle of projects aligned to the talent acquisition strategic plan.
Collaborate with department leadership to align project goals with organization, division, and team goals and objectives.
Evaluate project’s progress, making recommendations to adjust project scope or implementation plans, escalating issues, and enacting mitigation risk strategies that might prevent on time and/or quality project delivery.
Coordinate and align key stakeholders across the team to ensure seamless project execution.
Facilitate user group feedback sessions and incorporate findings into project plans, deliverables and services.
Provide direction to, motivate, and lead project teams to develop quality deliverables and/or services based on project requirements.
Ensure strong project closure, including, transferring and training appropriate users or owners on implementation of project processes, policies, and services.
Maintain all projects and strategic initiatives documentation, including, project plans, reports, budgets, communications, etc.
Regularly communicate with plans and forecasts to internal stakeholders, including escalating risk of over capacity concerns.
Employer Attraction (20%)
Act as a brand champion of KIPP TX’s employee values proposition.
Monitor Glassdoor, Indeed, and LinkedIn and plan and execute activities for engaging reviewers.
Collaborate with the marketing team to amplify KIPP TX employees as ambassadors for our brand.
Incorporate employer value proposition messaging into all KIPP TX promotional materials, including career fair materials, recruitment events materials, and job descriptions.
Identify and make recommendations on new opportunities to expand brand awareness for talent recruitment.
Recruitment Outreach and Campaigns (30%)
Lead the Early Hiring, First Day of School “push”, and pop up recruitment campaign project teams to attract high-quality applicants, particularly for hard to fill positions at KIPP TX.
Develop systems for tracking, reporting, and evaluating recruitment campaigns and marketing activities. Identify and recommend opportunities to improve recruitment marketing campaign results.
Create and implement mass outreach campaigns in smartrecruiters to drive applications conversion rate.
Compile and oversee the implementation of the KIPP Texas statewide calendar of sourcing, recruitment, and hiring events, including career fairs, job fairs, information sessions, and in-person events.
Collaborate with department leadership to assist in the development of regional-based recruitment and hiring events and engagements.
Represent KIPP Texas at career fairs, university recruitment events, and networking functions to build relationships with prospective candidates.
Participate in engagement opportunities and events with pipeline partnerships and programs to cultivate prospective big KIPPsters, including university and alternative certification programs.
Serve as administrator for recruitment platforms, including LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, VidRecruiter, and ACP lists.
Work closely with regional based talent acquisition portfolios to understand hiring priorities and craft customized recruitment strategies.
SmartRecruiters Communities Management (15%)
Develop and implement a strategy to optimize our Communities (CRM) in our applicant tracking system.
Partner with Talent Acquisition leadership and the Talent Strategy team to design and maintain CRM infrastructure.
Develop workflow processes to streamline and optimize Communities ensuring accurate and up-to-data CRM data tracking, auditing, and cleaning across the Talent Acquisition team.
Leverage CRM data reports to identify and escalate pipeline funnel gaps.
Serve as a member of the Talent Division Team and Family (10%)
Champion KIPP Texas’ mission and core values, modeling our values in your work, decisions, and relationships.
Model the Talent Division’s culture to foster high-performance, inclusion, and belonging. Support key team culture initiatives.
Build a network of engaged stakeholders across the organization. Leverage a diverse set of perspectives to implement and strengthen our talent practices.
Serve as an expert in sourcing and recruitment practices.
Foster a culture of collaboration through active participation in manager, team, division, and organizational meetings.
Demonstrate a growth mindset through co-creating a personalized learning plan and participating in development experiences to improve your practice in cultural competence leadership.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required, Degree in management, business or human resources preferred
Minimum of 3 years experience in project management, talent/HR, or full cycle recruitment
Experience working in education, non-profit, or high-stakes service industry, preferred
Experience in marketing, communications, or sales strongly preferred
Passion for advancing KIPP Texas’ mission

The starting salary range for this position is $60,000 and is commensurate upon experience and internal-equity

● Hybrid - three days working from a regional SSP office in San Antonio, Houston, Austin or Dallas; two days working from a home office.

Ability to travel to various locations for in person meetings, or conferences, travel time approximately 20%.
