Project Manager
Systems Integration & Development (SID) is an award-winning IT solutions provider headquartered in McLean, VA seeking a Project Manager. This is a full-time and remote position in Washington DC.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide project management resources, as well as processes to control, plan, identify issues, monitor and track all work activities. This includes services and products to provide centralized administrative, clerical, documentation, and related services. Specific services include financial and milestone variance analysis, transition support, preventive and corrective actions, requirements support, documentation of status through monthly status reports, reporting of metrics, processes, and regular communications.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to project scope and objectives.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including tasks, timelines, and resource allocations.
- Perform an analysis of program costs and milestone performance, utilize processes, documentation, and reporting for all Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) elements, and Agile-derived elements.
- Assist in defining project requirements and system specifications.
- Provide and maintain an integrated milestone schedule (IMS). The schedule shall span the entire period of performance. Milestones shall include but not be limited to contract deliverables, technology assessment deliverables, software releases, reviews, Operational Readiness Reviews, etc.
- Conduct project meetings and provide guidance to project teams.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business, information technology, or engineering.
- 10+ years of project management experience, preferably in IT or software development.
- Previous experience supporting government contracts as a Project Manager, ideally NOAA specific contracts
- Proven experience managing projects using Agile methodologies.
- PMP certification is required
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello, Jira).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster good working relationships.
- Willingness to adapt and learn in a fast-paced environment.
