Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Subcontracts Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of subcontracting activities within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contract management, negotiation, and compliance, ensuring that all subcontract agreements align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, negotiate, and manage subcontract agreements in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Defining requirements for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), analyzing and evaluating proposals, and negotiating subcontract prices
- Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with suppliers and potential suppliers
- Leading Diminishing Market Supply (DMS) Management and ensuring product lifecycle roadmaps are communicated to the engineering and program management teams
- New business pricing support, including leading generation of material roadmaps, Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) artifacts, and supporting development of and executing material pricing strategies
- Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to identify subcontracting needs and ensure timely execution of contracts.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and compliance with contractual obligations, addressing any issues that arise.
- Confirming and expediting material deliveries to support program production dates Identifying and pursuing alternative/dual source opportunities to drive affordability and best value.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement strategies to mitigate potential risks associated with subcontracting.
- Maintain accurate records of all subcontract agreements and related documentation.
- Provide guidance and support to team members regarding subcontracting processes and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulations that may impact subcontracting activities.
Requirements
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of contract law and subcontracting processes.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex information and make informed decisions.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in subcontract management or a similar role.
