Finance and Accounting Operations Associate

Job Description
You will support the Company in managing the overall financial accounting, including managing receivables and payables, monthly closing and reconciliations, and claims reimbursement. You will ensure compliance with Financial Reporting Standards, policies and guidelines and drive best practices in ensuring a robust finance framework and automation of reporting tools and systems.
- Performs and reviews accounting tasks such as bank reconciliations, processing bills, invoices and payment uploads, receivables and payables reconciliation;
- Recognize and resolve discrepancies in transactions
- Managing business and bookkeeping accounts (i.e. Xero) and prepare financial reporting in tune with the accounting cycle
- Ensuring compliance with accounting, legal and tax laws
- Monitoring and approving expenditure and claims
- Assisting in closing of monthly accounts and financial analysis to identify anomalies and derive insights of the company’s operations
- Assisting in commercial contracts reconciliation and setting up trackers for recognition and amortisation
- Assisting in annual budgeting, preparing financial reports and slides
- Supporting internal and external audit activities, follow-up on action points which includes formulation of dashboards for continuous monitoring and improvement
- Contributing to overall financial efficiency of the company
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in finance and bookkeeping
- Working experience using Xero, excel and google sheets will be preferable
- Experience working in a tech/SaaS company
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive attitude towards process improvements and willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and tools in finance and accounting.
