Summary:
The Event Specialist provides administrative support for the planning, coordination, and execution of various industry events, both in-person and virtual. This role involves handling event logistics, budgeting, and colleague or customer engagement tasks to ensure smooth event operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in setting event goals, monitoring budgets, and organizing event logistics such as audience, location, and agenda.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to create and distribute event marketing collateral.
- Support the exploration of new strategies for advancing organization-wide events, including regional gatherings, statewide conferences, golf outings, and other events.
- Utilize Cvent to build and manage event registration.
- Assist in planning virtual conventions with exhibit halls and coordinate with production companies to deliver high-level virtual events.
- Contribute to the development of event strategies, procedures, and standards for the organization.
- Support multiple event plans throughout the year to ensure events are completed on target and within budget.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with sponsors and partners.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure that all organizational priorities and goals are met.
- Support management of vendor relationships, contracting, and new vendor set up
- Support submitting and follow through on Marketing Workfront requests
- Support colleagues to ensure flawless execution of all events.
- Analyze event metrics to determine ROI and provide reporting to senior management.
- Assist with the creation and content development in partnership with Marketing and Communications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 1+ years experience in event planning, marketing, or a related role
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Event Management
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality work
- Experience in managing virtual and/or in person events
- Knowledge of budgeting and financial management
- Familiarity with marketing and promotional strategies
- Familiarity with CVENT and advanced Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation Range:
The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan. In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
