A Day in the Life:

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our data science capabilities. You will lead projects that utilize data to drive decision-making and strategy, particularly in areas such as fleet optimization, operations engineering, ancillary engagement, customer segmentation and experience, and predictive maintenance. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful insights and contribute to the development of data-driven solutions that enhance our competitive edge.

The starting salary for this role is $90K; commensurate with experience.

What You’ll Do:

Lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced data models and algorithms to solve complex business problems.
Analyze large datasets to extract actionable insights that influence strategic decisions in fleet management, pricing strategies, and customer retention.
Collaborate with data engineering, product, and operations teams to integrate data science solutions into business processes and products.
Develop and refine predictive models to enhance forecasting accuracy for demand, asset value, and maintenance schedules.
Mentor and guide junior data scientists, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team.
Present findings and recommendations to senior management, translating complex technical concepts into clear and actionable business strategies.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science to continually improve our capabilities.
Work with stakeholders to identify and prioritize data science projects that align with business goals.

What We’re Looking For:

Education: Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field required.
Experience: 5+ years of experience in data science, with a proven track record of delivering impactful projects, preferably in the rental car, automotive, or transportation industries.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
- Extensive experience with machine learning frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Expertise in working with large datasets and databases (SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business problems into data-driven solutions.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of data scientists, driving both individual and collective growth.
