About our Practice:
Healthy Minds NYC was founded in 2016 by Dr. Lanre Dokun in response to a perceived need for accessible, effective therapy that is uniquely suited for NYC professionals seeking thought partnership and treatment for their mental health challenges. The practice specializes in a broad range of therapy modalities but is keenly focused on the impact of combining individual therapists’ viewpoints, life experiences and backgrounds with clinical aptitude and evidence based practices to provide our clients with exceptional, culturally competent and contextualized care. The Associate Practice is our newly formed branch aimed at training up promising clinicians who meet our high standards for clinical care.
Our offices are located in the heart of midtown at 7 West 36th street. Each therapist will be assigned their own office space within the suite and will perform all therapy sessions, whether in person or via tele-health, on-site.
Job Type:
Part Time and Full Time, in person and tele-health
Compensation:
While working to complete the hours for licensing, our associate therapists will be compensated at $45/hr per client session. Associate therapists will be expected to make available a minimum of 16 hours weekly as a part time employee and up to 40 hours weekly as a full time employee. Specific schedules in terms of days and hours will be flexible but will require at least eight evening or weekend hours weekly.
Qualifications:
The ideal applicant will have completed a Masters in an accredited program in Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work or Professional Counseling. Applicants will need to be approved for a limited permit by the State of New York. The practice will require a copy of an applicant’s resume as well as a copy of their educational transcripts for their undergraduate and graduate education.
Additional Role Parameters:
· Part Time – 16 hours weekly dedicated to direct clinical care
· Full Time – 30 to 40 hours weekly dedicated to direct clinical care
· One hour of weekly group supervision
· Two hours of weekly individual supervision
· One hour of bi-weekly administrative meetings to discuss caseload concerns and administrative details
· 1 additional administrative hour bi-weekly for documentation and individual therapist logistics
· Participation in practice wide meetings as scheduled as well as engagement with promotional efforts and creation of marketing content
· Direct communication with care coordinator as needed
· Completion of all clinical notes within 1 week of session completion
Infrastructure
Healthy Minds NYC and The Associate Practice have a care coordinator who is the first touchpoint for any prospective client. Their role involves screening, verification of benefits and assigning clients to a team member who can best address their particular needs. Therefore, the associate therapist will be assigned a caseload that has been screened for a level of clinical severity appropriate for their level of experience and training.
There is also an office manager whose role is to coordinate and see to the needs of the office environment. The office is outfitted in a manner conducive to the peaceful delivery of therapeutic care and with the comfort of the therapist in mind. If there are any issues with access, comfort or other logistics related to the office, the therapist will inform our office manager.
The Associate therapist will be trained in the use of our EHR as well as our google suite of products for scheduling, information storage and tele-health sessions.

- Master's degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.

This role will start as a part time position with the option of building hours towards full time status and eligibility for benefits enrollment. Full time employees are eligible for the following benefits:
