Job Description

Join our vibrant team at GWA, where our rich New Zealand and Australian heritage, technical expertise, and innovative drive, combine with our iconic brands to create something truly extraordinary. For over a century, we've been crafting innovative, high-quality products for homes and offices, including market-leading brands like Caroma, Methven and Clark.

Our purpose is simple yet powerful: to transform everyday moments through thoughtful, innovative water solutions. Whether it’s in homes, hotels, or healthcare settings, we design products that make a difference. And now, we’re looking for an Architectural Specification Representative to join our Avondale team and help us bring this mission to life across the built environment.

About the role
As our Architectural Specification Representative, you’ll partner with architects, designers, and specifiers across residential, commercial, and aged care sectors to embed our products into meaningful spaces. You’ll be the go-to expert on technical performance, compliance, and product solutions—ensuring our range is not only specified but successfully converted through to project completion.

From early design stages through to delivery, you'll own the relationship and the result. Key responsibilities include:

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with architects, interior designers, and aged care stakeholders.
  • Providing tailored technical and compliance support—especially around accessibility standards like NZS 4121:2001
  • Offering innovative, practical solutions to complex project needs across a wide range of building types.
  • Managing project pipelines, ensuring product specifications are retained and converted.
  • Using CRM tools and platforms like Residium to track engagement, generate leads, and build influence.
  • Attending trade events and client meetings to champion our products and grow our brand footprint.
  • Collaborating with sales, marketing, and operations teams to deliver an exceptional end-to-end experience.

About you
You’re commercially astute, technically confident, and have a genuine appreciation for how great design can enhance everyday life. You know how to speak the language of the architect, understand what makes a project tick, and thrive on seeing a concept through to completion.

We’re looking for:

  • 3–5 years' experience in architectural specification sales, business development, or technical advisory.
  • A strong network or experience working with architects, designers, and specifiers—especially in aged care or healthcare.
  • Familiarity with building standards, accessibility requirements, and compliance frameworks.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align project work with broader business goals.
  • Confidence using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and digital collaboration tools.
  • A degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of aged care sector regulations and design best practice.
