On behalf of our partner in the defence-tech domain, GT is looking for a Technical Project Manager interested in helping build AI, ML, and aerospace products.

About the Role:
We are seeking a Technical Project Manager with a strong background in AI, engineering, and business analysis to lead the development of cutting-edge Defence Technology solutions. This is a critical role focused on building AI-driven MVPs from scratch, where you’ll operate at the intersection of project management, business analysis, and Scrum leadership.
You’ll be managing high-impact software projects that contribute to national security and operational efficiency in the defence sector, working closely with technical and strategic stakeholders.
❗️ Important note: the position requires approximately 4 hours of commitment per day, with at least 4 hours overlapping with the MST time zone (e.g., 17:00 to 20:00 CEST)
Responsibilities:
MVP Development: Drive the design and implementation of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for defence tech applications involving AI/ML.
Business Analysis: Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and define functional and technical specs.
Scrum Master Duties: Lead Agile ceremonies, foster a high-performance team environment, and ensure sprint goals are met.
Project Management: Own project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
Cross-functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering, data science, and UX team members to ensure smooth execution.
Technical Understanding: Leverage your engineering background to evaluate feasibility and support technical decision-making.
Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including defence clients or partners.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain transparent documentation for technical workflows, project updates, and release planning.
Essential knowledge, skills & experience:
4+ years of experience in software project management, business analysis, or technical leadership roles.
Experience managing AI/ML-focused projects, ideally in complex, high-stakes environments.
Strong understanding of the defence technology landscape, or previous experience working with military, aerospace, or dual-use tech.
Engineering background (software development, systems architecture, etc.) with exposure to QA practices and lifecycle.
Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
Exceptional organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in fast-paced, highly secure, and compliance-driven environments.
Nice-to-have:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
Experience with AI technologies such as computer vision, NLP, or LLMs applied in tactical or operational domains.
Familiarity with MLOps or deploying AI models in production.
Prior experience in defence, aerospace, cybersecurity, or government contracts is a strong plus.
Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or relevant defence/security credentials.
