Social Media & Community Manager

Groundfloor Atlanta, Georgia, United States Full-time
$65,000
per year

Job Description

SUMMARY: Groundfloor is on a mission to democratize wealth creation through real estate investing. As part of our growing Corporate Marketing Team, we’re looking for a Social Media and Community Marketing Manager to own and execute our social media strategy and lead community engagement efforts.

This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes digital storytelling, knows how to build and nurture vibrant online communities, and thrives at the intersection of brand, content, and audience engagement. You’ll play a key role in elevating Groundfloor’s voice, growing our reach, and deepening relationships with both current and future investors.

Groundfloor is a remote-friendly, hyper-growth, wealthtech company based out of Atlanta. We value vulnerable high-quality/low-ego collaboration. If that sounds good to you, join us!

THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF:

  • You’re obsessed with trends, content formats, and platform algorithms and know how to use them to your brand’s advantage.
  • You’ve got a strong POV on how to build meaningful engagement, not just grow vanity metrics.
  • You know how to translate brand messaging into high-performing, platform-specific content.
  • You love connecting with users whether it’s in the comments, DMs, Reddit threads, or Discord chats.
  • You’re comfortable working cross-functionally and collaborating with content creators, designers, and product teams.
  • You’re part strategist, part storyteller, part community builder.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Develop and execute a social media strategy across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Plan and publish daily content that drives brand awareness, engagement, and follower growth.
  • Monitor conversations and trends across platforms to engage with followers and respond to relevant conversations in real time.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create platform-native content, including graphics, carousels, short-form videos, and educational series.
  • Launch and grow online communities (e.g., Reddit, Discord, Facebook Groups) that provide value to current and potential investors.
  • Engage directly with our user community, responding to comments and DMs and surfacing insights or feedback to internal teams.
  • Track performance metrics and create regular reporting dashboards to inform and evolve strategy.
  • Support thought leadership and executive visibility initiatives on social media.
  • Identify and activate brand advocates, ambassadors, and user-generated content.

YOUR EXPERIENCE + A FEW NICE TO HAVES:

  • 4+ years experience in social media and/or community marketing, ideally within a startup, fintech, or consumer-facing brand.
  • Proven track record managing multiple social platforms with a strong, engaging voice.
  • Portfolio that showcases your content writing, creative campaigns, and results.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with experience creating both short-form copy and longer narrative content.
  • Basic graphic or video editing ability (Canva, Adobe, CapCut, etc.).
  • Experience using tools like Sprout Social, Later, Buffer, Hootsuite, or similar.
  • Familiarity with ad platforms (Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, LinkedIn Campaign Manager).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate performance data into content insights.
  • Knowledge of SEO, content marketing, and basic web analytics (Google Analytics, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Experience growing or moderating online communities (Reddit, Discord, niche groups).
  • Passion for wealth-building, fintech, or real estate investing content.
  • Creative, curious, and energized by building something meaningful from the ground up.

Benefits

We value our employees’ time and efforts. Our commitment to your success is enhanced by our competitive compensation and extensive benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, and vision benefits, potential equity for strong candidates, and future growth opportunities within the company. Plus, we work to maintain the best possible environment for our employees, where people can learn and grow with the company.
