Copywriter
Job Description
SUMMARY: Groundfloor Finance is changing the game for everyday investors by making real estate investing more accessible, transparent, and rewarding. We’re on a mission to democratize private lending—and we’re looking for a Corporate Copywriter who can bring that mission to life through clear, compelling, and strategic storytelling.
As a key member of our marketing team, you’ll define and elevate our brand voice, turning complex financial concepts into content that engages and educates. If you're passionate about fintech, obsessed with great copy, and driven by the power of words to build trust, we want to hear from you.
GROUNDFLOOR is a remote-friendly, hyper-growth, wealthtech company based out of Atlanta. We value vulnerable high-quality/low-ego collaboration. If that sounds good to you, join us!
THIS JOB MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF:
- You can switch between punchy headlines and long-form explainers without blinking.
- Financial writing doesn’t scare you actually, you enjoy making it approachable.
- You believe every word counts and can justify every line you write.
- You think strategically about tone, voice, and messaging across the full customer journey.
- You enjoy collaborating with marketers, designers, product teams, and legal/compliance.
- You want to work somewhere where your writing has a real impact on growth and customer trust.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Write and edit content across multiple touchpoints, including:
- Website and landing pages
- Investor communications
- Email and lifecycle campaigns
- Press releases and media materials
- Product UI/UX microcopy
- Social media and paid ads
- Translate financial and technical topics into accessible, benefit-driven messaging
- Contribute to the development and enforcement of our tone and voice guidelines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, compliance, investor relations) to align messaging
- Stay on top of market trends and fintech developments to inform and evolve content strategy
- Support SEO and digital marketing efforts through optimized copy
- Help maintain consistency and clarity in all brand communications
YOUR EXPERIENCE + A FEW NICE TO HAVES:
- 3–5+ years of copywriting experience, ideally in fintech, financial services, or tech
- Experience working in B2C environments (agency experience a plus)
- A portfolio that showcases crisp, clear, high-performing copy across channels
- Proven ability to simplify complex concepts into engaging, accessible content
- Strong attention to detail and editing skills
- Comfort working in fast-paced, collaborative environments
- Experience writing for investor communications or regulated industries
- Familiarity with real estate investing, crowdfunding, or alternative assets
- Working knowledge of tools like HubSpot, Figma, Google Docs, or analytics platforms
- Exposure to SEO best practices, performance-based copywriting, or UX writing
- Full PR experience (including press releases, media messaging, etc.) is a plus
Benefits
We value our employees’ time and efforts. Our commitment to your success is enhanced by our competitive compensation and extensive benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental, and vision benefits, potential equity for strong candidates, and future growth opportunities within the company. Plus, we work to maintain the best possible environment for our employees, where people can learn and grow with the company. We strive to provide a collaborative, creative environment where each person feels encouraged to contribute to our processes, decisions, planning, and culture.
