About Us:

God Restoring Order (GRO) Community is a mental healthcare provider that specializes in trauma

recovery services for males of color ages 5 and up. GRO services are grounded in an understanding of the

neurological, biological and psychological effects of trauma. GRO services include mental health and

wellness, stress management, and community outreach.


Position Summary:

As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will serve as a

strategic advisor and financial steward responsible for driving the organization’s fiscal performance and

long-term sustainability. This highly analytical and data-driven leader will oversee financial operations,

guide budgetary planning, and align financial strategy with organizational growth goals. The CFO will

leverage deep expertise in budget analysis, risk management, and market insights to optimize profitability

and ensure sound financial decision-making.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Leadership

? Serve as a strategic business partner to the CEO and executive team by translating financial

insights into actionable business strategies.

? Develop forward-looking financial models and forecasts to support high-impact decision-making

and organizational agility.

? Lead the financial strategy for expansion, including market and product development, partnership

modeling, and capital planning.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis

? Direct the creation, implementation, and oversight of annual budgets and long-term financial

planning processes.

? Analyze performance metrics, revenue trends, and cost structures to identify improvement

opportunities and maximize financial efficiency.

? Prepare, review, and present financial statements, dashboards, and key performance indicators to

internal and external stakeholders.

Data-Driven Insights & Problem Solving

? Use data analytics to inform strategic initiatives and assess ROI across programmatic,

operational, and marketing activities.

? Monitor internal systems for efficiency and effectiveness, recommending and implementing

improvements as needed.

? Evaluate and mitigate financial risks through advanced modeling and scenario planning.


Operational Oversight:

? Supervise the accounting team, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting.

? Coordinate audits, tax filings (990s), wage analysis, grant budgets, and IT procurement.

? Lead system and policy implementations, including billing approval, vendor payment processes,

and new location setup.

? Must also be capable of managing finances across subsidiary companies and supporting the

transition of a parent company overseeing multiple subsidiaries.

Profitability & Marketing Support

? Partner with marketing and program leadership to develop strategies that drive revenue growth

and operational sustainability.

? Support the evaluation of market trends and fundraising strategies to optimize pricing, donations,

and program impact.

Work Environment:

? Location: Hybrid Remote

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education & Certification

? Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.

? CPA designation required.


Experience

? Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive financial management experience.

? Demonstrated leadership in the corporate sector preferred.

? Experience with data-driven strategic planning, budgeting, and profitability analysis.

? Experience working within a healthcare system where revenue is generated through billable

services from insurance companies.

? Understand accounts receivable (AR) in relation to outstanding claims, analyze cash flow reports,

and streamline AR processes for auditing purposes.
