POSITION SUMMARY:
Reviews all loan maintenance and all overrides for accuracy. Provides quality control oversite for the loan servicing processes for residential mortgage, consumer and commercial loan programs to ensure accountability, accuracy and efficient processing in compliance with bank policy and procedures, and state and federal regulations. Provides support to the CRA officer to ensure accuracy of data collected and reported for CRA. Serve as backup for CRA submission.
Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s degree in business, finance or related area or equivalent experience within a financial institution, loan department, or similar area
- Prior knowledge of financial institution practices and lending related regulations
- Thorough understanding of loan documentation requirements
- Previous experience in loan servicing or originations preferred
- Proven ability to multi-task, make timely decisions and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented, with strong communication and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the commercial loan closing process and loan servicing function for all types of loans; support the quality control review process for new loans.
- Review all loan maintenance transactions to ensure acceptable supporting documentation is saved to our system.
- Ensure that monthly reviews of new loans are performed to reduce risk of fraud including the review of the new loan reports for compliance; Rate change letter reviews; Review of loans tied to deposit accounts; Maturity report of loans with escrow; Other reports and reviews as required.
- Establish work plans, set task priorities, coordinate assigned projects and track through to successful completion within required deadlines and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Ensure sufficient written procedures exist to complete daily tasks in accordance with Bank policies and regulatory guidelines
- Establish professional working relationships and communicate effectively with other staff, attorneys’ offices, and members of the public
- Become an expert in the Bank’s Core Processing System and how to maximize its appropriate functionality and apply it to loan product offerings
- Foster a motivated, collaborative, and professional team environment
- Represent the Bank in activities for generating new business and improving community relations, such as special events• Participate in discussions, and assist in the audit and exam process for third party reviews, internal audits and Bank exams.
- Prepare reports as needed.
- Collaborate with lenders and loan administration staff to help the department meet overall sales goals.
- Creatively develop methods to improve efficiency and enhance various techniques to accommodate expansions to the Bank’s loan products as well as regulatory changes.
- Support the CRA officer process to ensure data integrity; serve as a backup to both positions.

BANK SECRECY ACT (BSA)
Before assuming any duties, each employee will be trained in the proper filing and logging procedures for large currency transactions and the sale of monetary instruments.
Each employee will immediately report suspicious currency transactions or activity to their immediate supervisor or the BSA Officer.
All employees will become familiar with how their customers handle their accounts and will report any transactions that are not within the normal activities of the customer.
The employee will be trained in compliance with the BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT and associated laws and regulations under the Bank’s Compliance Program as it pertains to his or her job functions. Employees are expected to meet all compliance requirements as stated within the Bank’s BSA/AML/CIP/OFAC Program. Failure to meet these compliance standards may adversely affect performance appraisals and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. Employee’s compliance violations may result in termination, individual fines, and possible imprisonment.
