Job Description

IT Business Analyst

This position will identify, create, implement, and help design efficient processes related to GPC’s digital transformation that are engaging and easy to follow and for a variety of telecommunications products. Regularly partners with GPC’s internal teams and consultants to gather, groom and prioritize business requirements and collaborate with the development teams throughout solution design, development and implementation. Partners with IT Project Management to drive projects and perform critical analysis of test results, partners with end users during user-acceptance testing, and collaborates with leadership to define success metrics and KPIs.  Provides a variety of services ranging from day-to-day support, maintenance, design, development, and troubleshooting to improve, advance, or simplify processes. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

Analyzes business processes and recommends improvements to optimize the customer experience.

Leverages the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) methodology for process improvement.

Develops functional design standards and methodologies to deliver robust and agile functional designs that may span multiple functional areas and applications.

Provides deep, cross functional business process expertise and innovative solutioning across platforms and systems/architectures.

Drives efficiencies through automation.

Communicates process improvements and implementation with stakeholders.

Analyzes all requirements from the business and effectively documents the business need and priority.

Distills requirements into appropriate discovery work plans.

Collaborates with other departments on requirements to deliver solutions that meet business needs wholistically.

Ensures all technical designs meet our security and data architecture requirements.

Partners with the architecture and engineering teams on configuration and development to deliver solutions.

Partners with other departments on application selection, support and implementation.

Partners with the IT Project Manager to drive projects on time and on budget.

Performs initial testing of new features prior to user-acceptance testing.

Provides feedback to the development teams when functionality needs re-work.

Provides guidance to end users during user-acceptance testing.

Partners with leadership to define user adoption success metrics and KPIs.

Measures and tracks KPIs on all IT projects to understand ROI and value creation.

Partners with the IT Project Manager to drive projects on time and on budget.

Develops methodology, governance, and best practices to support digital experience platforms.

Other duties are requested by management.

 

EDUCATION DESIRED

Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, computer information systems, statistics, or similar technical degree

Completed technical training and certifications that are relevant and appropriate for prior IT work experiences and responsibilities

EXPERIENCE DESIRED

2-3 years of IT Analyst or similar

2-3 years of experience with Salesforce

Six Sigma Certification 

Experience with customer portal or e-commerce systems

Experience with telecommunications order management and processing

Experience working with and managing third parties and vendors for project delivery

Experience with agile and scrum methodologies
