Role Purpose:

We’re looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Manager to join our growing finance team. This is a critical role for a qualified accountant who thrives in fast-paced environments and is eager to help build a robust, scalable finance function within a mission-driven company.

You’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality financial reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, and leading key processes including audit support, statutory accounts preparation, and tax coordination. If you’re excited by the prospect of working in a complex reporting environment and enjoy bringing clarity to financial data, we’d love to hear from you.

A Day in the Life:

  • Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated financial reports in line with accounting standards

  • Own the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial and management accounts

  • Act as the key contact for external auditors and support all stages of the statutory audit process

  • Prepare UK statutory accounts and support international reporting requirements, including US reporting where needed

  • Maintain and continuously improve internal financial controls, processes, and policies

  • Coordinate with external advisors to support corporate tax filings and R&D tax credit claims

  • Collaborate across finance and operations teams to ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting

  • Assist in the implementation and optimisation of finance systems and tools

  • Partner with the Group Financial Controller on technical accounting issues and compliance projects

Who You Are:

  • A fully qualified accountant (ACA preferred; ACCA or CIMA also considered) or with related experience

  • You have strong technical accounting knowledge and experience preparing financial statements

  • Comfortable working directly with auditors and managing audit processes

  • You’ve worked in a complex or scaling business experience in SaaS, tech, or life sciences is a bonus

  • Detail-oriented with a strong understanding of accounting systems and financial processes

  • You’re proactive and always looking for ways to streamline and improve reporting

  • A strong communicator, able to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders

  • Flexible and adaptable, you thrive in high-growth, fast-changing environments

  • Bonus: knowledge of FRS 102 or IFRS (US GAAP a plus), and experience with tools like NetSuite, Excel, or Power BI

  • Hybrid Working, Tailored to You: Choose between working in the office and from home. You can be based anywhere in the UK as long as you can get to any one of our offices regularly. As a guide, we expect people to come to the office twice a week.
