Fuse Energy No location specified Full-time

Job Description

At Fuse Energy, we are transforming the energy sector with innovative solutions that empower consumers and put culture at the centre of energy conversations. As we continue to scale, we're looking for a bold, creative, and highly driven Communications & Community Lead to shape how the world sees Fuse.

This is not a traditional PR or content job. It's part storytelling, part persuasion, and part cultural intuition. You'll work across company announcements, product launches, and community engagement to craft headlines that make people take notice.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a hungry and high-performing communicator with strong writing instincts, media savvy, and a nose for what’s newsworthy. This role is ideal for someone with at least 2 years of experience in PR, copywriting, or communications, who’s eager to take on real ownership and build something from the ground up.

You'll work directly with our leadership and product teams — crafting compelling copy, leading media outreach, and cultivating a thriving brand community. It’s a hybrid role combining PR, creative copywriting, and grassroots community engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Own Fuse’s external communications: from funding announcements to product rollouts and company milestones.
  • Write crisp, compelling copy for press releases, landing pages, product UI, newsletters, and social media.
  • Manage and grow our community channels—fostering engagement, dialogue, and loyalty.
  • Build and nurture relationships with journalists and media outlets; pitch stories, shape narratives, and secure high-impact coverage.
  • Spin company milestones into broader narratives that align with cultural trends and current events.
  • Act as the editorial guardian of our tone of voice across all touchpoints.
  • ~2 years of experience in PR, communications, or content roles, ideally in a startup or high-growth company.
  • A degree from a top university, with a strong academic track record.
  • Proven ability to write with flair, clarity, and purpose—ideally with writing samples to share.
  • Prior success landing media coverage or shaping public narratives around a brand or product.
  • Deep understanding of how media works—and how to pitch a story in a way that grabs attention.
  • Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented; thrives as an individual contributor in a fast-moving environment.
  • Cultural awareness and a keen sense for what’s trending and relevant.

Bonus

  • Experience managing online communities or brand social channels.
  • Examples of media placements or campaigns you’ve led or contributed to.
  • Competitive salary
  • Biannual bonus scheme
  • Fully expensed tech to match your needs!
  • Paid annual leave
  • Breakfast and dinner for office based employees
