About The Role

As the Performance Director, you'll be instrumental in shaping and executing high-impact digital media campaigns that directly drive client success. This is a pivotal role that combines strategic leadership with a hands-on approach to campaign activation, in-depth analysis, and continuous optimisation. You'll not only manage and mentor a team but also remain actively involved in the day-to-day setup, optimisation, and performance analysis of campaigns across Search, Social, and Programmatic platforms.

You'll report to the Head of Digital and collaborate closely with Account Directors and other senior stakeholders. Your leadership will ensure strategic alignment and exceptional campaign execution, directly impacting client outcomes and satisfaction. Beyond driving performance, you'll play a critical role in client communication, presenting results, providing actionable insights, and building strong, long-term relationships that exceed expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the strategy, day-to-day management, and hands-on optimisation of complex paid media campaigns across Search, Social, and Programmatic platforms, ensuring optimal budget allocation and superior performance.

  • Actively conduct deep-dive analysis of campaign performance data, identifying trends and translating them into data-driven strategies for measurable results.

  • Develop and implement innovative performance marketing strategies that align with client business objectives and drive substantial ROI.

  • Manage, mentor, and develop a team of performance managers and specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

  • Cultivate and strengthen strategic client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and providing proactive solutions to achieve business goals.

  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends and emerging technologies, implementing innovative solutions to maintain a competitive edge.

What Excites You

  • Getting hands-on with campaign optimisation and driving tangible business impact through sophisticated performance media campaigns across Search, Social, and Programmatic, or specialising deeply in one with a desire to broaden your expertise.

  • Leveraging advanced data analytics and strategic thinking to consistently exceed campaign performance benchmarks and deliver exceptional client results.

  • Leading, mentoring, and inspiring a talented team to achieve collective success.

  • Collaborating with a passionate, expert-led team in a dynamic and fast-paced agency environment.

  • Contributing significantly to the success of well-known brands through innovative and data-driven media strategies.

What Excites Us About You

  • 6+ years of progressive experience in performance media, with a proven track record of managing and optimising large-scale paid media campaigns, including significant hands-on experience with campaign setup and platform usage.

  • Demonstrated expertise in leading and mentoring a team of performance specialists.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a highly data-driven approach to decision-making and optimisation.

  • Strong strategic thinking combined with a practical, execution-oriented mindset.

  • Outstanding communication, presentation, and client relationship-building skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.

  • Deep understanding of ad tech, measurement methodologies, and attribution models.

What’s in It for You

  • Flexible Working: Hybrid work model offering flexibility with options for Sydney CBD and Manly-based.

  • Learning and Development: Immerse yourself in a supportive environment where you'll work alongside seasoned professionals, learn from industry specialists, and have ample opportunities to expand your skill set and advance your career.

  • Team Culture: Be part of a collaborative, expert-led team that values innovation, creativity, and mutual support, fostering a positive and engaging work environment.

  • Birthday Leave: Enjoy an extra day off to celebrate your birthday.
