- Work closely with the Travel Sales team to hand off qualified leads and support proposal development and sales presentations.
- Establish and nurture vendor relationships with hotels, DMCs, and venues to support sourcing and contracting.
- Attend industry events and trade shows to build brand visibility and generate leads.
- Provide feedback to improve scripts, targeting, and campaign strategies based on real-time interactions with prospects.
- Surface prospect insights and objections to help evolve Fora’s group sales pitch and GTM strategy.
Requirements
- 2+ years in a BDR, SDR, or inside sales role—ideally in hospitality, travel, events, SaaS, or a high-touch B2B industry.
- Proven track record of outbound lead generation, cold outreach, and converting prospects into meetings or deals.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales enablement tools (e.g., Outreach, Salesloft, Gong).
- Familiarity with group travel or events (e.g., working with meeting planners, coordinating offsites, managing venue logistics).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to craft compelling outreach messages and deliver engaging discovery calls.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong pipeline management and follow-through.
- Self-motivated, coachable, and enthusiastic about building something new in a fast-paced environment.
- Based in NYC or willing to relocate; able to travel as needed for events and client meetings.
Strongly Preferred:
- Experience with the MICE sales lifecycle and understanding of how group events are scoped, priced, and executed.
- Familiarity with group booking or RFP platforms (e.g., Cvent, Lanyon, Passkey).
- Existing relationships in the travel or events ecosystem (e.g., hotel sales reps, DMCs, meeting planners).
- Experience developing client-facing proposals or sales presentations.
- Background in hotel, DMC, or venue sales or event operations.
