We are currently seeking a UI Designer & Front-End Engineer to join our engineering team in Lyon. This hybrid role combines creative design with technical implementation to bring seamless, user-centric digital experiences to life.

Your Mission : 

As a UI Designer & Front-End Engineer, you will be responsible for designing intuitive, user-centric interfaces and bringing them to life using modern front-end technologies.

You will play a key role in bridging the gap between design and development, ensuring our applications are engaging, accessible, responsive, and efficient. Working closely with product manager, product owner and backend developers, you’ll transform ideas and user requirements into functional interfaces that deliver consistent, high-quality experiences.

Key Responsibilities 

• Design and implement intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for web and software applications.
• Translate wireframes, user flows, and prototypes into functional and refined UI components.
• Develop and maintain responsive front-end code using modern, cutting-edge technologies.
•  Developing new user-facing features using various front-end libraries and frameworks ((e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) to enhance user engagement and functionality.
• Optimize interfaces for performance, scalability, accessibility, and crossbrowser/device compatibility.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and back-end developers to deliver cohesive, user-centric features.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and continuously improve the user experience.
• Refine and iterate on existing interfaces based on user feedback and evolving requirements.
• Ensure consistent application of brand guidelines and visual standards across all UI elements.
• Write and maintain clear documentation for UI components, workflows, and development processes.
• Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure seamless functionality across platforms.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, front-end frameworks, tools, and best practices.
• Contribute to the evolution of the design system and front-end architecture.

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with 3+ years in cloud environments
• 3+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform architecture and implementation
• Proven experience as a Front-End Developer or UI Engineer
• Excellent knowledge and working experience in HTML, CSS, React JS, Next js or Angular JS and Javascript.
• Knowledge in RESTFUL APIs
• Familiarity with code versioning tools like Git.
• Solid understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks
• Good grasp of responsive design, layout aesthetics, and UX principles
•  Experience in browser testing, debugging, and cross-device compatibility
• Excellent visual design sensibility and attention to user interaction details
• Ability to collaborate effectively with back-end developers, PM, and stakeholders
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in cross-functional environments
• Solid time management and the ability to meet deadlines with high-quality output
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a proactive, learning-oriented mindset
• BSc degree in Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field
• Fluent in English (French/Dutch is a plus)
