Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Coordinator, Student Financial Aid - Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the administration of the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program.
  • Analyses and evaluates financial aid information of prospective and current students and determines eligibility for financial aid and awards to students.
  • Reviews and processes Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeals and requests for Professional Judgement.
  • Makes final decision as to student's eligibility for financial aid for assigned students based on alpha division.
  • Ensures that scholarship recipients are meeting and maintaining eligibility criteria. 
  • Manages and coordinates various College scholarships such as the Virtual Simulation scholarship.
  • Responsible for the organization, filing, and storage of records for the Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program.
  • Assists with front desk staffing during peak time, counselor for the day, or as needed.
  • Review and process weekly financial aid reports such as negative need and over budget reports.
  • Performs financial aid outreach presentations and workshops within the local community to include but not limited to local public high schools.

Minimum Qualifications:

A master's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree from an a accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization and four years of appropriate experience required.

The ability to demonstrate leadership; take initiative; problem-solve; act both independently and as a member of a team; successfully collaborate; handle multiple tasks simultaneously; and plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines effectively.

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, customer service, analytical and problem solving skills.

High degree of accuracy and attention to detail

Salary:

$62,000 - $64,272 per year.
