Title: Principal Software Engineer, Front End

Seniority Level: Senior

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (in-office 3 days per week)

Reporting to: Chief Technology Officer

Impact & Outcomes

As a Principal Software Engineer, Front End at Evertune, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our user-facing architecture and design systems. Success in this role means:

• Launching a highly performant and intuitive interface for our AI Discovery platform within your first 3–6 months.

• Leading front-end technical strategy and implementation, enabling rapid experimentation and feedback loops.

• Mentoring and leveling up front-end engineers through thoughtful code reviews, peer programming, and architectural guidance.

• Driving cross-functional initiatives that significantly improve UI performance, accessibility, and maintainability.

Core Responsibilities

• Design, code, and ship features across both customer-facing and backend systems.

• Develop end-to-end functionality for benchmarking AI engagement, content strategy optimization, and AI education.

• Scale and maintain our core platform using Vue, JavaScript, Python (FastAPI), MongoDB, and Google Cloud infrastructure.

• Work closely with Product and UX to define features, shipping cadence, and release criteria.

• Improve system architecture to ensure responsiveness, reliability, and resilience under varying loads.

• Collaborate cross-functionally using Jira, GitHub, and Slack, and support a culture of fast, quality deployments.

Must-Have Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in front-end development, with deep expertise in Vue.js and Vuetify.

• Proven track record building and scaling production-grade web applications with modern component-based architecture.

• Strong understanding of responsive design, performance optimization, and accessibility standards.

• Experience integrating front-end applications with Python-based backends and RESTful APIs.

• Solid grasp of cloud-based development and deployment, particularly with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a history of effective cross-functional leadership.

Nice-to-Haves

• Familiarity with MongoDB and how to efficiently consume document-based data in front-end applications.

• Experience with state management patterns in Vue (e.g., Pinia, Vuex).

• Comfort with infrastructure and deployment tools such as AppEngine, Cloud Run, or Firebase Hosting.

• Prior work on AI, data analytics, data visualization, or other data-intensive interfaces.

• Contributions to open-source Vue projects or community involvement (talks, blogs, libraries).
