Job Description

The EVERSANA/Meitheal Regional Business Director (RBD) is responsible for the development and performance of all field personnel in their region for sales and activity for XENLETA (oral antibiotic) and will report to the Complete Commercialization CCO & Integrated Commercial Lead. This position is responsible for staffing and directing their team.  They will provide leadership towards the achievement of partners objectives in line with company vision and values. The RBD will observe and identify opportunities and challenges as well as develop, plan, implement, and follow through with action plans to address those opportunities and challenges in a positive way within and through their team.  This includes individual development of team members in line with corporate goals. Evaluation of success, optimizing the opportunity and effectively communicating results to partners and EVERSANA internal stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Our employees are tasked with delivering excellent business results through the efforts of their teams.  These results are achieved by:

  • Day-to-day management of Pharmaceutical Sales Representative team to oversee the in field activity and drive results within their region.
  • Coach, mentor, educate and develop direct and indirect team members to enhance individual selling skills and elevate overall team performance.
  • Hold direct reports accountable to behaviors and expectations in line with EVERSANA and Meitheal performance objectives.
  • Interview, select and supervise the activities of the Pharmaceutical Sales Representative team; communicate, interpret and discuss company policies and procedures.
  • Determine job objectives, work methods and performance standards in partnership with Meitheal; review performance relative to departmental objectives.
  • Discuss appraisal with each employee and performance; authorize and communicate salary changes, promotions, transfers, discipline and discharge including   all other personnel activities.
  • Maximize market, segment, and team dynamics to drive both top- and bottom-line results.
  • Ensure smooth, collaborative efforts in both day-to-day and long-term business execution to set the tone and pace for business process and organization.
  • Maintain required technical expertise to respond accurately to all questions regarding products, policies, and business-related issues from customers and representatives.
  • Effectively plan and conduct plan of action and other meetings with members of partner Corporate Leadership
  • Knowledgeable about all relevant compliance laws, policies and processes to ensure actions of self and team are fully compliant.
  • Provide direction and insights to key internal and external partners in business planning processes.
  • Consistently exemplify both EVERSANA and Client’s Cultural Beliefs and high ethical standards
  • Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel up to 40%
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The requirements listed below are representative of the experience, education, knowledge, skill and/or abilities required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college/university required
  • Minimum of 5+ years of sales management experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience operating in Primary Care segment with anti-infective experience highly preferred
  • Experience leveraging knowledge and expertise to build strong relationships with HCPs, pharmacies, and other key stakeholders
  • Product marketing, specialty pharmacy, payer and regional/state medical society experience a plus
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain a high level of productivity, innovation and priority-setting to complete assignments on-time and on-budget
  • Proven ability to lead from the front and think strategically
  •  Work with a high level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills for effectively interfacing with all levels of management and departments within the company.
  • Advanced business analytical skills to identify trends in HCP, Payor and patient segments and threats is a must. 
  • Ability to solve problems and determine actions to drive business to overcome challenges utilizing corporate reporting tools and technology
  • Demonstrates ramp up and mastery of clinical product knowledge reflective of ‘player coach’ expectation
  • Excellent judgment and decision-making skills
  • Proven ability to deliver candid, effective and actionable feedback and efficiently manage performance

EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The anticipated base salary range for this position is $180,000 to $200,000  and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position.  Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).  More information about EVERSANA’s benefits package can be found at eversana.com/careers.  EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range and benefits at any time.
